WFMW ~ Proverbs

This isn’t not one of my rocket original scientific ideas.  I borrowed this piece of wisdom from someone in cyberspace.  Can’t remember where I read it.

The book of Proverbs has 31 chapters in it.  Read the chapter corresponding with the date each day and gain an enormous amount of wisdom from the Lord.    I plan on reading it to my children during breakfast or lunch each day.  What a treasure and wonderful tradition that our children will be able to pass on from generation to generation.

Yes, I knew Proverbs always had 31 chapters, but I never thought to read it each day.  So forgive me if this idea isn’t new to you.

The Principle Approach

We have started implementing the principle approach in our homeschool just about a year ago. It has been a true blessing to our family as a whole. We have grown spiritual, as well as, becoming a loving family. I adore learning as a  family and training my boys in a biblical worldview in every subject and area of life.

Here are some sites that have been an encouragement to me pertaining to the fascinating principle approach. I have to admit I was overwhelmed at first, but learning a little here and there has grown tremendously over the course of the year. It is a whole new thinking process, but how rewarding it is to see your childrens fruit blossom.

Being Submissive…..

Submission is longing after God and voluntarily allowing Him to have control of my entire life.  I must develop the discipline of submission by placing all my dreams, wants, and desires before God, who then is free to bless me with the desires of my heart.

In James 1:5, he tells us how we can gain wisdom to be submissive to our God, husbands, and authorities.  However, we must ask Him and he will deliver the wisdom as we need it.

James 3:14-17 describes and states that the wisdom that comes from heaven is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, and good fruit, impartial and sincere.  Some tough words, huh!

One verse that lies heavy on my heart is Pro 1:7.  This is an excellent memory verse for the family and our homeschool.  True wisdom comes from the fear of the Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father:

Please help me to learn to be submissive in your eyes.  Help me to be submissive to my husband and authorities with a cheerful heart.  Guide me in my journey and thank you for loving the undeserving me.  May your grace be completely sufficient in my heart.

BFS ~ Easy Button

myassignmentI would be so blessed if I had some prayer warriors praying for me this week.

First, I would like my thoughts be nothing but wonderful in His eyes.  My memory verse for this week is

Second, my dh and I have committed to God and to one another to implement the Dave Ramseys’ financial plan.  In order for this to happen, we must sell our house.  I love my house!  But I know God is calling us to do this in order to pay off debt.  Please help me be motivated and cheerful in preparation getting the house ready for showings.  Please pray that we will find a comfortable house in the country that meets our financial needs.  I don’t want to move back to the city.  I know this is only temporary, but the end of the road seems so far away.  BTW ~ I hate change.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.  I know God is capable of changing my heart.  But I need a little push……  I would be honored if you would leave your hearts callings for me to share with God this week.  Have a beautiful week.

The Shack review

This book is absolutely fabulous and life changing.  If you haven’t read it yet, get it today!  It’s a fiction novel that is truly amazing and made me look deeper into my relationship with God.  All I can say is “WOW!”

I realize there is an enormous amount of controversy in regards to this FICTION book.  I find it absolutely silly!  This book brought me and so many others closer to God.  Praise God !

Below I included an  interview with this creative author.  May God continue to bless his ministry. I plan on reading this book to the boys in several years.
