Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran
When you see someone in a uniform
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their country’s call,
Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.
Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
“Thanks for what you’re doing;
To keep us safe in the USA!”

This poem is such a good reminder that we should be thanking our troops everyday and not only on Memorial Day. I am so guilty of this. For now on, I will encourage my children and myself to always make a point to just say thank you.
It’s kinda like when someone sends you a card when it’s not your b-day. It’s such a blessing. Or maybe when your dh sends you flowers “just because”, oh wait that was when we were dating. LOL!
Enjoy your day with family and friends. May you feel peace knowing that you will see your loved one again soon if you are in mourning.
The Holy Spirit spoke to me this morning during my devotion time today.
Make me know your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths. Lead me into truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I will wait all the day long.
Oh how I want Him to teach me His ways and for me not to lean on my own desires. My ways are often totally off the wall from His ways. I truly want to live my life through Him and complete His desires for my heart while I am here on this thing called life.
I have elected to make this verse my daily prayer. Even if my devotion time is cut short for whatever reason, I will say this prayer.
Teach me O Lord your ways!
What a powerful song! Such an inspiration to me! Enjoy!
I am proud to say…I finally did it! I wore a skirt for 7 days! (: I have challenged myself 2 other times to wear a skirt for 7 days straight. I miserably failed my last 2 attempts. This last attempt was a breeze. I’m not mentioning that I went out of town for 3 days to the Above Rubies retreat and didn’t bring any other type of clothing or anything of the sort in case I felt like a jean day. LOL! However, my dh really wants our new princess wearing dresses. He would never insist on me wearing a skirt, but he has mentioned many times how he loves when I wear a skirt. How can I expect my dd to want to wear one if I don’t wear one. So, I challenged myself again. And I accomplish it! You might think this is no big deal, but to me it was. I love jeans and sweats. And if I don’t have those on, I have my PJ’s on.
Things I discovered during my 7 days…
1. It made me feel more feminine.
2. I was more prone to wear makeup.
3. I love to mix and match.
4. Finding cute skirts, preferably long for me, is fun and challenging.
5. Making them is even more rewarding with the finish product.
6. I found lots of cute flats that look great with long skirts.
7. I have 2 types of skirts ~ around the house and public skirts.
8. And I can’t wait until it is warmer and I can wear cute flip flops.

Please pray for friend of mine that is struggling for her life. Jenny was suffering from the flu for a week before being admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and sepsis. Her kidneys are failing and she is on a vent. Please pray for complete healing and peace for her family.
I know God is in control and is the ultimate healer.

We are trying to get back in the swing of things. It is really hard this time around getting back to a some-what schedule after giving birth. So, I thought…. Gotta start with the most important….God himself. I am trying to develop quiet time each morning while nursing the princess before the boys wake up. A challenge for me. I so don’t do well without sleep. However, I have some early risers.
I was intrigued by this classic at the book store awhile back. Now seems like the perfect time to start this book/devotion. I love how it has scriptures at the end of each lesson to enhance Thomas a ‘Kemps words.
I am encouraging my dh to read along with me and we can discuss every night while trying to make little princess want to sleep in her cradle instead of in my arms. Another battle we will overcome. LOL!
With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 peter 3:8-9
I have been pondering for months in regards to my previous blog title. It was such a perfect fit while it lasted. However, the title doesn’t fit our family anymore. We can’t leave our princess out. So, here it is… Blessed Beyond a Doubt. Everything remains the same including the URL. I just changed the blog title.
Golly, coming up with a new title is difficult. Especially when you had the perfect one in the past to fit just you. But I believe this title fits just as well. And it’s all because of Him.
Thank you God for all the blessings you bestow my way. I am so undeserving of the gifts you continue to send my way. Your mercy is so amazing and continues to spread in our home. Amen
